The Olympus EU-ME2 and EU-ME2 Premier Plus are next-generation universal ultrasound processors engineered to meet the demanding needs of EUS, EBUS, and interventional procedures. Despite their compact design, these systems deliver radiology-grade imaging that supports accurate diagnosis of cancers and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and adjacent organs, including the pancreas, bile ducts, liver, spleen, and gallbladder. They also contribute significantly to improved airway evaluation for pulmonary and thoracic applications.

Equipped with enhanced imaging technologies—such as improved B-mode and the introduction of elastography the EU-ME2 series enables better differentiation of tissue structures, detection of lesions, and assessment of disease severity. Elastography provides a visual map of tissue elasticity, helping clinicians identify suspicious areas and select ideal biopsy sites.

The EU-ME2 is both backward and forward compatible with a wide range of Olympus EUS/EBUS scopes and miniature ultrasound probes, making it a highly versatile system for hospitals and clinics. Its compatibility across gastroenterology, pulmonology, and thoracic surgery departments offers substantial cost efficiency through shared use and reduced total ownership costs. With broad procedural support, including EUS-FNA, EBUS-TBNA, radial EUS, and peripheral bronchoscopy, the EU-ME2 ensures flexible and dependable performance across specialties.

  • Radiology-grade image quality in a compact design.
  • Enhanced B-mode imaging helps identify tumors, tissue boundaries, and lesions more clearly.
  • New Elastography mode maps tissue stiffness to highlight suspicious areas for biopsy.
  • Backward & forward compatible with Olympus EUS/EBUS scopes and miniature probes.
  • Supports multiple procedures: EUS-FNA, EBUS-TBNA, radial EUS, peripheral bronchoscopy.
  • Frequency range 5–20 MHz for improved superficial and deep imaging.
  • Cost-effective sharing across departments (GI, pulmonary, thoracic).
  • Compact size fits any endoscopy tower for easy integration.
  • Improves visualization for cancers and GI diseases, including pancreas, liver, bile ducts, and airway lesions.
