The Olympus BF-F260 is an advanced autofluorescence videobronchoscope designed to elevate diagnostic accuracy in pulmonary medicine. Powered by the EVIS LUCERA SPECTRUM imaging platform, this slim 5.5 mm bronchoscope delivers bright, high-quality AFI imaging along with superb high-resolution white-light visualization, allowing clinicians to detect subtle mucosal abnormalities with confidence.

In AFI mode, blue excitation light causes bronchial tissue layers to fluoresce. The high-sensitivity CCD detects and analyses this fluorescence, displaying suspicious low-fluorescence regions as magenta and inflamed tissue as dark green. The system’s ability to capture green reflection light provides a unique advantage—helping distinguish inflammation from malignant or pre-malignant changes, improving diagnostic specificity.

The BF-F260 includes a standard 2.0 mm working channel compatible with a wide range of EndoTherapy accessories, including electrocautery and YAG laser instruments, enabling both diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy. Its slim design ensures smooth insertion while maintaining full visualization over a 120° field of view.

A built-in Scope ID memory chip allows automatic display of scope information, supporting workflow efficiency and traceability in busy bronchoscopy units. The bronchoscope is fully compatible with Olympus washer-disinfectors, drying cabinets, and supports plasma and ETO sterilization—ensuring safe, validated reprocessing.

With excellent bending capability (180° up / 130° down), high-resolution imaging, fast switching between modes, and robust compatibility, the BF-F260 is an ideal tool for early detection and precise assessment of bronchial pathology.
